L’Alban Chambon - Italian baroque decor and classical but daring French cuisine have made L’Alban Chambon one of the most celebrated restaurants in Brussels. The gastronomic restaurant serves lunch and dinner, with dishes including risotto of Saint-Jacques scallops and wild boar in a crust of sesame seeds. The wine list is suitably extensive. What to expect: Swathes of bronze marble, enormous chandeliers and gold columns create a flamboyant entrance to this glamorous hotel. Built in 1895, it is the oldest hotel in Brussels and decorated to enhance its original splendor. Soft leather chairs, gentle lighting and large ferns invite tourists and businesspeople to relax in the lounge area. Amenity highlights: A complete facelift in 2002 transformed the dining room of the L’Alban Chambon restaurant into one of the city’s most romantic restaurants.
